The Great Electric Mice Of Legends

"Mommy! Daddy! I caught one!" Ryushi cried with glee running up to them with small hands cupped against his chest. Riona ran up behind him.

"What did you catch?" Ryouga asked curiously.

"He caught a Peekaboo[1]!" Riona said excitedly hopping from foot to foot.

"Let me see," Ranma said kneeling down next to his son. Ryushi carefully opened his hands to reveal a tiny yellow mouse. It had brown stripes, pointed ears and a jagged tail. Little sparkles flew off its tiny red cheeks. It sat on its haunches and sniffed the air. It twitched its whiskers.

"Well I'll be darned!" Ranma said turning to his Ryouga. "He caught one!"

"Can I keep it?" Ryushi asked.

"If it wants to stay with you I suppose it's okay." Ryouga said looking at Ranma who nodded.

"Can I hold it?" Riona asked.

Ryushi nodded. "Be careful," he said as he herded the small mouse into his sister's cupped hands. It crawled up her arm and sat on her shoulder.

"What are you going to name him?" she asked as she watched the tiny creature scratch its ear.

"Peekaboo!" Ryushi said.

"That's a good name," Riona said.

"Come here Peekaboo!" Ryushi said holding his hand out. The mouse looked at him and then crawled onto his hand. It made its way up his arm and perched on his shoulder tickling his ear with its whiskers. Ryushi giggled.

"I guess that means it stays," Ryouga commented.

"Mommy there's something wrong with Peekaboo!" Ryushi called.

Ranma walked in to the children's room and peeked into Peekaboo's little cotton nest.

"What is it?" Ryouga asked walking into the room.

"Well, looks like Peekaboo is a girl!" Ranma said with a smile.

"What do you mean?" Ryouga asked.

"Well she just had babies!" Ranma replied.

"Really?" Ryushi and Riona asked excitedly.

"Yes really!" Ranma nodded.

"Yeah!!!" the twins cried. "How many babies did it have?"

"Six," Ranma told them.

"That's enough for everybody! There's even one for anty Sumi's baby!" Riona said.

"Yeah!" Ryushi said hopping up and down. "What will you name yours Riona?"

"Squeakachu!"
