Ryouga's Return

Ranma was six months along before Ryouga finally found his way back to Nerima. Still nobody but Ranma, Kasumi, and Dr. Tofu knew of Ranma's condition. The whole town knew that Ranma was sick and that he had been getting chubby of late, but nobody even suspected the truth. Akane and Ranma were sitting outside having their lunch, when Ryouga appeared in the schoolyard.

"Saotome prepare to Die!" a voice called out.

Akane looked up as all the color immediately drained from Ranma's face. He looked at Akane with panic in his eyes before he jumped up and ran away. Akane watched his retreating back with amazement. Ryouga appeared next to her and also watched Ranma run. There was something odd about his run.

"Coward!" Ryouga bellowed after the retreating figure. Ryouga considered chasing him, but decided that he'd better rest for a while. He sat down in the seat that Ranma had just vacated.

"Well that was strange," Akane commented.

"He is finally showing his true colors maybe?" Ryouga suggested.

"He's been sick lately," Akane said.

"Ranma sick? Ranma is never sick," Ryouga said.

"I know that. That's what's so strange about it. but for the last couple of months he's been having problems." Akane said.

"What kind of problems?" Ryouga asked, more wanting to hear Akane talk than to hear about Ranma's problems.

"He's missed a lot of school. He's been really depressed. He has these weird mood swings, he almost fought with me once! He's gaining weight. And Kasumi is watching him like a mother hawk." Akane said.

Something about all these facts nagged at Ryouga's brain, but he ignored it. "Is that so," he said staring into her eyes.

"Uh huh," she nodded. "Maybe if you go after him you can catch him."

"Maybe."

"Well?"

"Well what?"

"Well aren't you going to go after him?" She asked.

"Oh, yeah, I was just leaving. Bye Akane!" he said as he got up and went off in the direction that Ranma had taken.

Ryouga had been wandering around for hours and still there was no sign of Ranma or the Tendo Dojo. He was getting very annoyed. If Ranma had of stayed and fought him in the first place instead of running away he wouldn't be lost. Up ahead he spotted a familiar pigtail.

"Saotome prepare to die!" He called out as he charged. Ranma turned and froze in horror, eyes wide, hands held protectively over his stomach. Ryouga's leg was on a direct course for that very same stomach but at the last second somtehing blocked Ryouga's blow. Ryouga hopped back and looked up to meet the fierce gaze of Dr. Tofu.

"Don't you touch him," Tofu growled making Ryouga flinch and step backward. He had never seen the kind doctor look so fierce!

"Come on Ranma," Dr. Tofu said softly as he put his arm around his shoulders and led the now shuddering boy away.

"Now that was strange," Ryouga said to himself. "I have never seen Dr. Tofu act like that!" Something was definitely going on and he intended to find out what it was.

A few hours later found Ryouga in front of the Tendo Dojo. Finally! He walked inside and was slightly surprised to see Kasumi sitting on the porch waiting for him.

"Hello Kasumi," Ryouga greeted the girl.

"Hello Ryouga. Ranma wishes to speak to you," she said. "But you must promise me you won't hurt him," Kasumi ordered.

"Uh sure," Ryouga replied puzzled.

"Come, walk with me," she said as she walked towards the koi pond. Ryouga followed her curiously. Ranma was sitting on a large rock next to the pond watching the fish swim in circles. He didn't look up as they approached. He just stared in the water with a sad look on his face.

"I'll leave you to talk. Remember your promise Ryouga," Kasumi said. Then Kasumi walked back to the porch where she began to sweep still keeping an eye on them.

"Ryouga, do you remember the party I threw six months ago?" Ranma asked quietly still looking at the pond.

"The best worst enemies party?" Ryouga asked.

"Yes, that's the one. Do you remember what happened at that party?" he asked.

"We all got drunk," Ryouga replied.

"And do you remember anything special about you're being drunk?" Ranma asked softly. "Anything that you might have done?"

"Nothing particularly memorable," Ryouga said.

"Nothing memorable," Ranma whispered. Ryouga looked at him. Ranma had tears running down his cheeks, dripping down to join the rest of the water in the pond.

"Ranma are you crying?" Ryouga asked seemingly awed.

"Nothing memorable." Ranma said a little louder looking up at Ryouga. "Nothing memorable he says."

"Ranma what's wrong? What are you talking about?" Ryouga asked confused.

"Ryouga that night, you took something very precious to me," Ranma said.

"What? Your beer? Is this because I stole your beer?" Ryouga asked.

"No. It's not because you stole a drink. It's because you stole my innocence," Ranma said bitterly.

"What?!" Ryouga practically yelled.

"You took my virginity," Ranma said.

"I did no such thing!" Ryouga protested.

"Yes, you did," Ranma replied. "In the park under a tree. I have the scars to prove it." Ranma said pulling his shirt over his shoulder to reveal a large scar. Ryouga looked closer. It could only have been a bite mark, but the thing that surprised him, was the evidence of fangs. Slowly a hazy memory surfaced of someone kissing his thighs and then having passionate sex in the grass. Ryouga smirked.

"So I got to be the one who got your wildly sought after virginity. How fitting a revenge!" Ryouga said with a sneer.

Ranma seemed to fall apart before Ryouga's eyes. Shattering and falling in on himself. Ryouga decided that he had just done a very stupid and heartless thing.

"Just one more thing," Ranma said through his tears. "Ryouga, I'm pregnant."

Ryouga stood dumbfounded. "You're what?!" he screamed. "That's impossible you idiot!"

Ranma whimpered and moved backwards. Ryouga's face glowed with seeming rage. Out of nowhere Dr. Tofu appeared at Ranma's side plucking him up off the rock and whisking him into the house. Ryouga stared after them still boiling with unnamed emotions. Kasumi stood on the step glaring at him.

"Ryouga," she called out in a cold voice. "You are no longer welcome in my home. In any form. So if I see P-Chan running around, we're having bacon for breakfast the next day." Kasumi informed him before she turned on her heel and walked into the house after Ranma and Dr. Tofu.
