Ash's Evolution
By: Missfortune
This is a shonen ai fanfic. If you don't know what that means than you don't belong here. Please leave and go somewhere safer than this. This fic is a shonen ai, which may or may not develop into a lemon depending on your votes. Yes you tell me what you think and you play a hand in Ash's destiny!
I don't own these characters. WAAAH! If I did I would be rolling in dough but I don't so I'm not. So please don't sue me I'll have to sell my brother to give you even a few dollars cause all I have is common sense (ha ha little pun there).

Inspired by the comic The Electric Tale of Pikachu: Clefairy Tale
The comic revolves around Ash and the Clefairy. Ash, Bill, and Professor Oak witness a Clefairy evolution.
Ash wandered outside of the cave wrapped in the soft blanket Bill had loaned him. He shivered a little in the cool night air and considered going back inside for his jacket; after all it wasn't very sane to go wandering around the mountains in you boxer shorts and a T-shirt. He had turned in with everyone else after the Clefairy evolution ceremony but he had too many things flying around in his mind to drift off to sleep. He looked back at the cave. Everyone else was sleeping peacefully. Bill and Professor Oak were in their sleeping bags near the dying fire and Pikachu was snuggled up in a pile of Clefairy. Ash sighed making a small puff of steam in the cool night air. He had talked to both Professor Oak and Bill and now he had many things to think over.
Ash pulled the blanket tighter around his shoulders and decided to go for a walk. Maybe the chill in the air would help to focus his thoughts. He started out slowly avoiding stepping on sharp rocks. He had been lost in the woods for three weeks trying to find and catch a Clefairy to help increase his status to Thunder Level. He'd found the Clefairy all right but he hadn't caught any. Instead he'd befriended them and got to take part in a Clefairy evolution ceremony. Only the bravest Clefairy evolved. Clefairy evolved into Clefable but unlike other Pokemon they didn't get any stronger. They did it for no other reason than to get out and see the world.
Ash looked around and realized that he had walked back to the crater near the lake where the Clefairy evolved. His feet were getting cold so he sat down and tucked them under the soft folds of the blanket. He looked up at the twinkling stars. It looked almost as if they were winking at him, like they knew something he didn't. Maybe the Clefairy had the right idea. Maybe the levels weren't as important as he'd thought. Getting there was half the journey but he was so focused on the destination that he was forgetting the here and now. Ash decided that from now on he was not going to worry about all that other stuff and focus on the adventure and the lessons he learned along the way.
"Ash?" a voice called from behind him.
Ash tried to jump up and turn towards the voice but all he succeeded in doing was tripping on the blanket and falling into the person behind him. Strong arms caught him as his head fell against a firm chest. Ash looked up to see Bill grinning down at him.
"You shouldn't sneak up on people like that!" Ash said as Bill helped him stand. "You scared me half to death!"
"Sorry," Bill said not looking the least bit sorry at all. "I woke up and looked around and you were gone. I was worried so I followed your footprints. What are you doing out here so late at night by yourself anyway?"
"I couldn't sleep. I had some things to think about" Ash said as he sat back down on the ground.
"Like what?" Bill asked as he seated himself next to Ash.
"Like what I talked about with you and Professor Oak. Like the Clefairy evolution ceremony and stuff like that." Ash replied staring at the night sky. Slowly he turned to face Bill. "Bill?"
"Yes, Ash?"
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Of course Ash." Bill replied with a smile.
"Do humans evolve?" Ash asked.
" Well, sort of but not the same as Pokemon do." Bill said.
"What do you mean?" Ash asked puzzled.
"Well when Pokemon evolve their body changes right?"
"Right," Ash replied.
"Well humans don't physically change. They stay the same on the outside. But their minds are in a state of constant evolution. People learn new things every day. Every day things happen to change their minds and change the way they look at the world. Do you get what I'm talking about Ash?" Bill asked.
" I . . . I think so" Ash replied. "It's like if Team Rocket suddenly had a change of heart and turned good. That means that they evolved, right?"
"Yeah. Sort of like that but not every evolution is so major. It's kind of like with everything new that you learn or experience you are changed. It evolves you." Bill said looking at Ash. Ash nodded as a shiver ran through his body. "Are you cold?" he asked concerned.
"A little bit," Ash admitted. "It's from sitting on this cold ground"
Bill reached out and pulled the boy onto his lap. He wrapped his own blanket around them both and held him securely in his arms. "Is that better?" he asked the slightly startled boy. Ash nodded as he shifted experimentally in Bill's lap. He looked up at Bill whose eyes had widened a little when he wiggled.
"Yes, that's much better thank you." Ash replied. "Bill?"
"Yes, Ash?"
"How can I tell if I've evolved?"
"Well Ash usually you can't. It's something that happens all the time and you won't always notice all the little things. Sometimes however you'll definitely know when you've evolved." Bill said.
"Like when?" Ash asked curiously.
"Well, like . . . Uh . . . like your first kiss!" Bill said.
"First kiss? How's that?" Ash asked skeptically.
"Well, you change your mind about love and stuff and you start thinking about looking for a partner." Bill responded.
"Like Pikachu?" Ash asked innocently.
Bill blushed. "Uh, no, not like Pikachu. Ash has your mom talked to you about the Pidgeottos and the Beedrills yet?" he asked.
"Oh, yeah we learned all about that stuff in school. OH!" Ash exclaimed shifting in Bill's lap again. "You mean that kind of partner!" Ash voiced looking up at Bill. The blush seemed to deepen with Ash's every move.
"Yeah, that kind of partner," he said, his voice sounding a little strained.
"So what was your first kiss like? Was it a real kiss? Was she pretty?" Ash asked squirming in Bill's lap.
"My first kiss was very nice," Bill said. "And yes it was a real kiss. No peck on the cheek there!" Bill chuckled.
"Was she pretty?" Ash asked again.
"It wasn't a she, Ash," Bill admitted.
"A Pokemon?" Ash asked confused.
Bill laughed. "No, it wasn't a Pokemon either. It was a boy." Bill proclaimed.
"A boy?" Ash whispered shocked. His eyes were the size of dinner plates as he looked up at Bill for confirmation. Bill nodded. A small grin played across his face at Ash's astonishment. Ash looked thoughtful. "A boy" he said once as he nodded to himself. Then he looked back up at Bill and grinned. "Was he cute?" Ash asked devilishly.
Bill laughed a full belly laugh. Ash shook and shifted in his lap. Ash began to giggle along with him. When they were both out of breath Bill looked at Ash and said, "Yes, he was very cute. In fact you remind me of him quite a lot."
They sat there silently looking out at the stars once more. Ash looked thoughtful. "Bill?" he queried. "I . . . I've never been kissed before and I was kind of wondering . . . um . . . if you . . . if you would be my first kiss?" Ash asked hesitantly.
Bill looked thoughtful for a moment and then looked down at Ash. "Is that what you really want?" he asked Ash. "You don't have to kiss me just because I kissed a boy. Besides I'm quite a few years older than you."
Ash looked at him determinedly. "I'm sure. Besides I don't understand girls at all. At least with another boy I know what I'm getting." Ash expressed.
"Okay, well in that case Ash I would be honored to be your first kiss." he said as he bent down to claim Ash's smiling lips. Ash's lips were soft and sweet much like the boy himself. Bill opened his mouth and traced his tongue over the curves of Ash's top lip. Ash opened his mouth in surprise and Bill took full advantage by pushing his tongue into the boy's sweet mouth. Ash squirmed in Bill's lap brushing against the arousal that was swelling between his legs. Bill moaned. Ash closed his eyes and met Bill's questing tongue with his own. A small jolt of electricity seemed to pass between them both. Ash's eyes popped back open from the shock of the sensation. Bill pulled Ash closer to him as he brought one hand up to brush through the boy's baby soft hair. Finally he pulled back to get some air. Ash gasped as his head collapsed against Bill's shoulder. Bill stroked the boy's back as he collected his breath.
"Bill?" Ash asked breathlessly.
"Yes, Ash?"
"I feel all tingly. Am I evolving?"
