Dose this mean you love me? By: Eternal_Ukyou Warning: DavisxKen (DaisukexKaizer)!! Mush! Yaoi! Very little, if any real plot! Digimon, not mine. If they where I'd be filthy rich and not writing crappy, pointless fan fics. Ken laid back and listened to the rain pelt down onto his window. The apartment was so quite. Absolutely silent, aside from the sound of the driving rain. He laid there, in the dwindling after noon light, hands behind his head, and Wormmon curled up at his side sleeping away the afternoon. Ken sighed, almost wistfully. And thought of one thing. Davis. He rolled over onto his stomach and thought of the days events, played them through his head like a movie. "Ken!" Davis yelled as he knocked on the door. "Hey Ken it's me Davis! Open up!" "I'm coming, hold on." Ken had pulled open the door, and after a moment hesitation let the rain soaked Davis in. "Hey! What's up?" Davis smiled, as he sat untying his shoes. "Nothing. What-what did you come here for?" "Isn't that what friends do Ken? Hang out?" Davis smiled up at the taller boy, sheepishly. "F-friends...?" "Ya Ken, ya know. Like you and me. oh! I almost forgot here!" He held up a small white box to Ken. "My mom made them for you, I hope you like brownies." "I do actually... I've never gotten a gift from a... friend before." A bit of color flooded Ken's pale cheeks. "Don't mention it. If I didn't give them to you, I would have had to eat them all, and man... my mom made a ton. I think my sister took some to Matt too." He jumped up to his feet, grinning widely at Ken's response to the whole situation. "Hey, didn't you say you got a awesome new video game yesterday?" "Ah... yea..." Ken stuttered. He never knew what to do or say at times like these. "Why don't you show it to me and we can eat those brownies. Hey where's your kitchen? I'll go get some milk while you boot it up." "A-alright Davis." "Davis!" Wormmon added crawling up. "Can you get me some to?" "Sure! Two cups of milk and a saucer of it for Wormmon, No problem." "Kitchens at the end of the hall Davis." Ken instructed. "Alright! I'll be right there." Davis went off to find the kitchen and Ken and Wormmon went into Ken's room. "I'm glad Davis came over, it was getting pretty boring." Wormmon smiled, as much he could at least. "I... I think I am too." It didn't take long for Davis to come back, nor did it take long for him to get Ken deeply submerged in the game. And before either of them knew it they where waist deep in an almost normal teenage boy conversation. "So, who do you hang out with at school? I mean you say you have no friends. But that's pretty impossible." "I don't hang out with anyone." "Alright, let me put it a different way. At Lunch, who do you sit with?" Davis sat back, leaning on his hand staring at Ken's high shelves full of thick books. "Chi'za, Aya, and Fusa. We've all the same Advance Calculus class, and they all sit behind me." Ken turned his chair around and faced Davis. "So, wouldn't that make them your friends?" "No, not really. I'm just sort of there, they just talk about boys and fashion and stuff. They all assume I like boys as much as they do so..." He broke his gaze with Davis. "Why would any one think that Ken? You seem like a fairly normal guy to me, well except for be the formal ruler of the Digiworld and all." "One day someone just assumed that I was... gay, and that was that. I guess I can admit I a bit weak willed so I didn't bother to fight it." "Oh, just ignore em' Ken. Who cares what they think. If their not you friends, don't bother with them. I'm your friend and I don't care even if you are or you aren't." Davis sat up fully now, brushing the brownie crumbs from his T-shirt. "But I mean... why guys wouldn't go for you... you are... " "Attractive, cute, good-looking? Yea I've heard them all." Ken sighed. "Well their right! You are! I mean I don't usually go for pretty boys but I mean, theirs a first time for everything, ne?" he laughed, not realizing how Ken had just taken that. "You don't mean... you like me?" Ken leaned forward, a bit more intent on what Davis' reply would be. "Course I do!" He was still laughing, totally oblivious to how Ken had taken that statement. His laughter stopped abruptly when he opened his eyes and saw Ken. Color flooded Ken's cheeks, and he sat there wide eyes at Davis. "What?" Davis looked behind him. "Did Birdramon just go flying by or something?" "You- you mean what you just said, right Davis?" "That Birdramon just went flying by?" "No... you just said you like me?" "Yea." Davis thought about it a moment, then it hit him. "Oh! I didn't mean it like THAT!" He smacked himself in the forehead. "Sorry Ken." "No, it's alright... I was... joking." "Wow? You joking? That's a big step! Good job Ken!" Davis smiled as he watched Ken get up and take the empty glasses. "I'm going to take these back to the kitchen, I'll be right back." Ken smirked a tiny bit and headed, gracefully to the kitchen, leaving Davis alone. >>Why was Ken looking at me like that... asking if I... liked him? Sure, he's an attractive guy and all- AH! No! Attractive and guy don't go in the same sentence! But... He looks so lonely...- stop that Davis! Stop it! you like Hikari remember? But... Ken... It would be so good for him- since when do I care about his feelings? - Since always! Now I'm going to wait for him to come back and I'M going to do it!<< He argued with him self as he sat there on the area rug. Davis sat in silent for a moment listening for Ken to return. The apartment was so serene. But then the silence was shattered. And from the sound, Ken had dropped one of the glasses. "Ken? You ok?" Davis called down the hall. "It's alright. I'll just clean it up." Ken knelt down to pick up the pieces but just as he reached for the first piece he sliced a long cut in his finger. "Ow..." Instinctively he put the finger into his mouth and finished cleaning up the glass. He headed back to his room, Davis was still sitting there, but Wormmon had curled up next to him and Davis was stroking the leathery creature, ginning widely. "What happened Ken?" He looked up at the pale boy. "I just broke a glass. Cut my finger." "Oh!" Davis jumped up. "Lemme see!" He took Ken's hand looking at the cut in it. >>now or never<< Davis thought to himself. And then pressed his lips to Ken's shaky hand. "What are you...?" "Showing you what good friend do..." Davis smiled reassuringly, leading Ken up the latter into his loft style bed. Ken was confused, and quickly become dazed in anticipation. What was Davis going to do to him? This boy who had trusted him even after what he had done, was laying his down, straddling his legs. Then before he knew what to say Davis had pulled off his ever present gloves and began to stroke his pale cheek softly, running his hands up and down. Ken, tensed up, Davis could feel it. "What wrong? Is this not right?" Davis sat back on his knees, still one leg on either side of Ken's hips. "I-I" "I'm not going to do anything." Davis laughed and laid down on top of Ken, wrapping his arms around Ken's torso. "Come on Ken, You don't have to be alone anymore..." Davis whispered, in a tone Ken had never heard him use before. It was sweet, almost kind, but sincere. "D-Davis..." Ken closed his eyes, almost in ecstasy just being held in someone's arms. It had been so long. It was like heaven, but even heaven could get better. And it did as Davis began laying Nervous kissed on the underside of Ken's chin. His arms squeezed Ken tightly as if to assure him he wasn't leaving. Ken was so tense, but with every kiss the tension seemed to fade away a bit more. "Is that... alright?" Again he spoke so softly it was uncharacteristic. Ken could only nod slowly. Davis smiled and laid his head very close to Ken's. And before he knew it he fell in to a light sleep, there in Ken's bed. "Davis..." Ken whispered running his hand through Davis's hair, very unsure of what to do. "Thank you." Davis left shortly after waking up. He promised to come back the next day, Ken really hoped he would. Then Ken went back to his room, laid in his bed for a long time to think about what had happened, and where it was all going. The rain had refused to let up over the next three days, It was bringing a rather dreary feel to most of the Digidestined. Especially Davis, who was about to go inane because his Soccer game was cancelled. So, having the whole afternoon free, he packed up some bentos and headed over to Ken's. Ken wasn't used to unexpected visits so when Davis dropped in twice in four days it was quite a shock. "Heya!" Davis smiled as Ken opened the door. "Ah.. hi Davis." He stepped back, less shocked than the first time. "Don't you have soccer today?" "In this weather?" He laughed. "Nah, but here." He held out the boxes to Ken. "Brought ch'a lunch." "Ah... thanks." Ken took the box in his hands as he had before. "Look man, I don't know what you want me to say about... what happened last time, but... It's your call Ken." "Davis..." Ken set the box down on the hall table. "... we're... friends? Right..." "`Course we are Ken. Why else would I have done that? I mean, your way better looking than Kari anyway." He shrugged and shook the excess water from his limp locks of auburn, and pushed up his goggles up, for they threatened to slip from his hair back in to his face. (Rather inconvenient at a time like this.) "You... you said that yesterday Davis." "I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true Ken." He looked him, his tone become a bit more serious. "I know... " He looked away. "I just don't have a hard time excepting it." "It's not hard Ken." Davis got to his feet. "All you have to do is tell me what you what... that's what friends do, right?" Davis winked cheerfully. "Yea... I guess you would know best..." Ken back up a step or two, leaning back against the wall. His right hand holding his left arm, "Hey! What's that supposed to mean?" Davis got to his feet "Nothing... I just.." Ken's cheeks flushed a wild color of red, he looked down at Davis's socked feet. "You just what...?" Davis put his hand under Ken's chin and pulled his face up so the two boy locked eyes. "I... I .." Ken pulled his face out of Davis's hot hands. "I can't." "Why...?" Davis put his hands on either side of Ken so his escape routes where cut off. "Because..." "That's not a very good answer Ken. If you couldn't why did you the other day?" Davis wanted to know. No one gave in that easily only to say no. "I don't know..." "Ken!" Davis yelled, he wanted to say more but he didn't know how. He knew Ken needed him, and maybe he needed Ken just as badly. Ken needed someone to love him, to help ease the fear and pain of his former self . To glaze over that self doubt. And Davis was bound to do it for him. "Davis.. get off." Ken pushed him off , rather forcefully. "K-ken... please. Come on!" Davis pleaded as Ken stormed off to his room. "Come on man! Please!" Ken climbed up his latter and threw him self into his bed, covering his head with his pillow. "Ken?" Wormmon slithered up. "Ken? What's wrong?" Ken didn't reply. Wormmon nudged Ken's arm, he was trembling. "Are you cold Ken? Why are you shaking? Come on you can tell me." "I don't want to talk about it Wormmon." He said monotonously, his voice half muffled by the pillow. "Come on Ken, you can tell me anything. What's wrong? Where Davis? Didn't he just come over?" "I said I don't want to talk about it Wormmon!" A million thoughts where running through Ken's head. It was true, he wanted to be with Davis, he wanted to be close to someone. But he just couldn't except the fact the Davis wanted to be his friend. That Davis trusted him even after everything he had done. He was sure Davis' feeling where misplaced, those weren't meant for him. Davis could never want him after what he had done to all of them. He hoped he took the hint and went home. Ken laid there for a good fifteen minute before he was able to calm the shaking to a low minimum. Mom should be home any minute now and he had to look normal. Mom freaked out over every little thing now-a-days. He could never tell her what Davis had just told him. He wouldn't tell anyone. Ken sighed heavily, trying desperately to regain himself and he sat up in his bed, pushing the now damp pillow away. He climbed, almost to gracefully, down the latter and went toward the door. Then he stopped dead in his tracks, He could hear Davis. "Ken... please listen to me... even though you probably don't want to. Your the genius here not me, but it doesn't take an Einstein wanna be to see, your a great guy Ken, I want to show you that. I want to help you, that's what friends do, Ken. Look out for each other right? Help each other through tough time. And this looks pretty tough to me. Please Ken..." On the other side of the door Davis leaned against it, hands in his pockets, back leaning on the wooden door. He didn't know what exactly to say so he spoke to the door the separated he and Ken. "Ken... it's not worth being alone..." "Davis..." Ken whispered and wrapped his long fingers around the door knob and turned it. Davis nearly feel over as the door came open. "Ken!" "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to get angry. Your right Davis." Ken looked down again, at the hard wood floors underfoot. "I... I do... want ... you..." He whispered, in a voice that was barely audible over the drizzling rain. He seemed ashamed and his face flushed with bright color. "That's all you had to say..." Before Ken knew what had happened, again he was under Davis weight. Looking up into soft, reassuring eyes of the auburn hared boy. "Your not the Digimon emperor anymore Ken, you don't have to blame yourself for every mishap. Things happen," Davis pulled of his vest and threw it off the bed, let his goggles slip off and follow suit so he was looking down on Ken in only this shirt and shorts. Ken smiled weakly, the color in his cheeks quickly invading his ears, that where half hidden by this raven hair, and the back of his pale neck. Davis's clumsy finger undid Ken's shirt and pulled it away from his shoulders, exposing Ken's gentle, milky, unexplored curvature. Davis, hungry for Ken's virgin skin began to lay wet kisses up and down Ken's cheeks, on the underside of his chin, and then down his neck, across his shoulders, to his chest. Ken closed his eyes and let the world slip away, so it was only he and Davis in all of reality. He, laying as still as he could, embraced in Davis's arm, and warm kisses. He felt safe here, as if nothing in the world could shatter this moment. Davis was moving back up Ken torso, up to his mouth where he gave him his first real kiss. Plunging his tongue deep into the other boys mouth. They fenced wildly, in an unsure manner, engulfed in pure ecstasy and experiment. It took Davis by surprise when Ken's hand where slipping up his shirt, pulling it away from his goose pimple coated flesh. "I want to try to..." Ken did as Davis had did, kissing his neck and chest wetly, with a less practiced manner than Davis. After some time of these uneasy, unpracticed kisses, Ken stopped and stared straight up at Davis. "Dose this mean you... love me?" "Yea Ken... course it dose."
