Faces of Sage

There is no single Sage, there are in fact many different versions of Sage which we are now going to look at.

Original Sage Sage made his first ever appearance in Birth of a Prince. He is the second son of Vegeta and Bulma. Unlike with Trunks, Vegeta forms a very strong attatchment to the son that is almost a carbon copy of himself save for the blue highlights in his hair and tail which make him distinct from the elder Vegeta. Sage's real name is also Vegeta, but to avoid confusion they let young Trunks nickname the baby. Trunks decided to name his Sage after the distinct smell of a Saiyan baby. Sage means "tornado" in the Saiyan language, so therefore the name has double meaning for the family for Sage is indeed a whirlwind to deal with. After Birth of a Prince was completed Sage went on to star in many chibi tails. He also has a sequel, Princeling in the works as well as several tales from later in his life. Original Sage was wildly popular, perhaps the reason we get to see so much of him.

Future Sage Like Father, Like Son introduced us to a Future Sage who traveled back with the familiar Future Trunks after things went awry in their timeline. Future Sage was our first glimpse at a Sage other than the Original Sage. He showed us new sides of the familiar Sage and opened the doorway for a few more.

Restraints and Liberations Sage Restraints and Liberations has brought us yet another version of Sage. We still get that now familiar angst factor as Sage is discovered as a slave on a planet far from his home. Turles rescues the prince, who has been missing for years and begins the journey to bring him back to his parents. Despite some disturbing elements in R&L Sage's story, he is another popular Sage.

Reflection Sage This Sage appears in Dasia's Reflections of a Prince, the sequel to Reflections of a King. Once again Sage is the second son of Bulma and Vegeta. He shares a debilitating joint disease with his father, a reason it is NOT a good idea for royals to inbreed. In Reflections Sage means "a gift from my enemy".

Black Dragon Sage You haven't seen this Sage yet. Black Dragon Sage comes from a collaborative world that exists in the minds of Talon and Dasia. He lives in a violent world of gangs and killings where the characters are human instead of Saiyan. He was raised by his brother Trunks well...that's all I'm going to say. Such a tease I am! Be on the lookout for this Sage to break onto the scene.

Sage Rihs This is another Sage you haven't seen yet! He exists in yet another universe that you've yet to be initiated into, one created in the fertile mind of Dasia. Rest assured he is royalty. Again, you'll have to wait until he's fully revealed to learn more!
