Point D’Arrêt chapter 6: Cryptorchid

As Kyou rounded the corner to where Yuki’s voice was last heard, he found his love being held off the ground by a female who looked like a mix between a giant cat and a girl. She had her hand grasped tightly around his neck and was squeezing it as she held him up higher. Kyou growled and ran over to them, not thinking about what he was doing. He jumped and tackled the girl, surprisingly he didn’t change.

At the moment, he didn’t care. All he cared about was keeping Yuki with him, to keep him safe.... unlike Tohru.... He jumped up and glared down at the girl. She laughed slightly and stood. Her black hair was tied into a bun, her blue eyes burned with rage. Her tail swayed behind her like a snake ready to strike. Kyou locked eyes with her, but was still aware of the change in the wind.

He crouched down just as a smaller girl jumped for him. She overshot him and landed beside the black haired girl, her lilac hair was wild from the jump. Kyou looked over to Yuki who was sitting with his back to the shelf behind him as support. His hand was around his already bruising neck. The rage in Kyou had reached its peak, and he lashed out, forgetting about the third girl.

"Kyou." The sound in Kissa’s voice told him that he had to pay attention. He turned his back to Kotek and Katze to see what the forgotten redhead had to say. She stood with her arm wrapped around Yuki’s neck, her claws extended, ready to pull to the side and rip his throat out. Kyou gulped. What was she going to do?

"Let. Him. Go. If it is me you are after... Do not involve Yuki..." Kyou watched as the girl smirked, then tossed Yuki over a display and glared at him. Kyou went to run to Yuki, but Kotek grabbed him and held him by the arm. She looked up to him with sweet eyes and smiled, it was almost sickening how sweet she looked.

"Kyou-kun will come home with us, yes? Will Kyou-kun come be the father figure for Kotek-chan?" She blinked as Kyou looked down at her. Her feline features faded, leaving only a cute little girl. A cute little girl who would kill Yuki if Kyou refused. He gulped. The sound of feet running on the ground sounded through the store. The four looked around, trying to figure out where it was coming from. Suddenly, a very feline looking Tohru jumped over the display Kissa had thrown Yuki over and tackled Kissa to the ground. She hissed in her face, then stood, her feline features died away leaving the angelic Tohru behind.

"Tohru....?" Kyou watched as she moved towards him and Kotek. He felt Kotek’s grip on his arm tighten. The bones in his arm began to rub against each other as she applied more pressure. He screamed and fell to his knees as the girl retook her true form and attacked Tohru.

Tohru barely had time to revert back to her predator form when the attack came. As she changed, she caught the girl by the arm and tossed her into Katze. Katze caught the girl and sat her on the ground. All three of the girls attacked Tohru at once. Kyou’s eyes opened wide, there was no way Tohru could win...

"I’LL DO IT!" The words had left his mouth before he’d had a chance to think of anything. The three suddenly stopped their attacks and turned to him. Kissa walked over and pulled Kyou up off of the ground and held his arm lightly. Two balls of light appeared in Katze’s hands, electricity ran between them. Electricity surrounded Katze, Kotek, Kissa, and Kyou and enveloped them in it. The electricity died out and Tohru ran around the display to fetch Yuki.

"So, this is the new one, eh? So, do you want me to just erase his memory and put in a new one, erase his memories of Tohru and Yuki, make him like all of you and erase his memory, what?" A woman in a lab coat looked over to the three girls as they locked Kyou down in a doctor’s chair. The three looked to each other, then the woman. They glanced at Kyou and smiled.

"Erase everything, install a new memory... a memory of us... And add in the extra added features of being a Neko-Shinigami." Katze watched as the woman nodded and prepped herself to work on Kyou’s memory and DNA.

Tohru arrived at Shigure’s house with a barely breathing Yuki. Haru, Momiji, Kisa, Shigure, Ayame, and Hatori came rushing out to help her with the injured boy. Hiro stood in the entrance to the house and watched as the others gushed over Yuki and Tohru.

"Tohru-kun, where is Kyou?" Shigure turned to Tohru whose eyes opened wide briefly, then slammed shut. A tear tore past her lashes, then rolled down her cheek as she remembered the look on Kyou’s face when he’d yelled out that he would go with the girls.

"He gave himself over to those girls... to save Yuki and myself."
